I must admit, I feel pretty duped, and extremely disappointed in my decision. Please tell me that you have plans in the works for adding the many features that the Mac version appears to be missing. What the heck? Nowhere other than a single question buried within the FAQ does it say that the Mac version of the Mastering Edition of the program doesn't support VST, and I've already paid for my license, as well as purchased other pieces of software from the suite. In addition, it supports sample rates ranging from 6 to 96KHz, stereo or mono, 8, 16, 24 or 32 bits. I've finally gotten to the editing stage of my mastering, and alas. It has full support for DirectX plug-ins and Virtual Studio DLL Technology (VST), providing access to a wide range of additional tools and effects. In the end, based on features and workflow, I chose WavePad.
NO DIRECTX EFFECTS SHOWING WAVEPAD MASTERS UPDATE
Sorry to bump an older post, but is there any update to this issue yet? I just did days of testing and research in order to decide on which stereo editor to purchase for my business. Solely expressed, the USE YOUR COMPUTER TO RECORD EDIT AND MASTER AUDIO PROFESSIONALLY BY WAYNE PASCALL is internationally compatible with any devices to read. To use this feature, select Effects menu -> DirectX plugins, and in the window that appears you should see a list of DirectX plugins detected on your computer. We can also start recording directly by pressing Record at the bottom or with the hotkey F5. Its nearly what you requirement presently. DirectX Effects This feature allows you to use DirectX plugins to apply effects to the audio you are working with in WavePad. Unfortunately, VST plugins are only supported in the Windows version of WavePad. To find all the available options we must click on the Burn tab in the upper task bar.
